Hadeed Cheini (Hematite) is traditionally associated with grounding, strength, and emotional composure. Rich in iron, it is valued for steadiness, focus, and resilience under pressure. The Qur’an describes iron as a source of strength and benefit for humanity (57:25). Classical Shi‘i sources, including Bihār al-Anwār and Mustadrak al-Wasā’il, narrate that Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him) wore a ring of iron (Hadeed), including during times of battle symbolizing firmness, courage, and steadfast reliance on God. Hadeed Cheeni is worn as a symbol of discipline, balance, and quiet authority.
