Madar Yemeni Aqeeq Sterling Silver Ring

There is something striking about a ring that knows exactly when to stop. For Madar, we wanted the Yemeni Aqeeq to remain completely in command of the design. Its warm amber-orange color already carries so much depth, and the clean square shape gives it a strong architectural presence. Instead of surrounding it with heavy silverwork, we designed the sterling silver to move around the stone bframing it, following it, but never competing with it.

Look closely at the band. One line of silver rises toward the Aqeeq while the other sweeps beneath it, creating an asymmetric wrap around the setting. From the front, your eye goes directly to the gemstone. Turn the ring slightly, and the entire personality changes: you begin to notice the sculptural curve of the silver, the open space around the setting, and the way the facets of the stone catch a different light from every angle.

Now imagine it on your hand. From above, that amber-orange Yemeni Aqeeq is what people notice first. As your hand moves, warmer and deeper tones begin to appear within the stone, while the cool 925 sterling silver creates the contrast that makes its color even more pronounced.
